No es largo el camino a mi casa:

puedes venir en bote,

parando en la sombra donde haya remolinos

o, si bajas a la orilla

a descansar, mirar las hojas

y hablar con los pájaros

y los juncos: contrata un remero adulto

no muy entrado en años y elige

un bote angosto de esos como canoas:

(un mudo será mejor, y no

más caro; atraerá los reflejos

y silencios que hay debajo de las hojas:)

aligera el equipaje: un solo libro, alguna línea:

en los rápidos el río es todo truchas

y con una rama de abedul

te harás un buen atizador: si partes

antes del mediodía, llegarás

con luz de sobra en la tarde

de la tercera jornada: yo

bajaré al embarcadero

(dile al hombre que lo busque,

los mudos tienen buena vista y están libres

de visiones) a recibirte con vino

casero y un poema para la ocasión:

elige la derecha: hay menos cascadas

en las rocas, la pendiente es más gradual:

trátate con suavidad: el ascenso consume

mente y sangre y tú debes reservar

una buena provisión de silencio

que nos sirva de contrapeso

mes pasado encontré una raíz con forma

y entre los insectos he oído

un ruido nuevo: ven.
