Había un Viejo con su barba,
Que decía, “¡Es tal como temí-
Dos Búhos y una Gallina,
Cuatro Alondras y un Gorrión,
Todos construyeron sus nidos en mi barba!”.

Había un Viejo con un gong
Al que golpeaba todo el día;
Pero ellos le dijeron: ¡Oh, Señor!
¡Usted es un odioso viejo pelmazo!”
Así hicieron pedazos al Viejo con un gong.




IV

Había un Viejo en un bote,
Que decía, “¡Estoy a flote, estoy a flote!”
Cuando ellos le dijeron “¡No! ¡No lo estás!”
Estaba listo para desmayarse,
Aquel infeliz Viejo en un bote.
